Enter crispy sooji bites – your new go-to guest favourite! Crispy sooji bites are a perfect blend of crunch and flavour! You can serve it with green chutney or ketchup.
Ingredients for Crispy Sooji Bites

Manshree wood pressed mustard oil : 3 tbsp

Sooji: 1 cup

Curd: 1/4 cup

Water: 1/2 cup (adjust as needed)

Onion: 1 medium, finely chopped

Carrot: 1 small, grated

Green Chili: 1, finely chopped

Ginger Paste: 1/2 tsp

Mustard Seeds: 1/2 tsp

Coriander Leaves: A handful, chopped

Salt: To taste

Black Pepper Powder: 1/4 tsp

Turmeric Powder: 1/4 tsp

Red Chili Powder: 1/2 tsp (optional)
Method for Crispy Sooji Bites

In a mixing bowl, add sooji, curd, and water. Stir well to form a thick batter. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.

Add chopped onion, grated carrot, chopped green chilli, ginger paste, and coriander leaves to the rested batter.

Add salt, black pepper, turmeric, and red chilli powder. Mix well.

Heat a small amount of mustard oil in a pan. Add some rai and let it splutter. Pour this tempering into the batter and mix well.

Grease your hands with oil and shape the batter into small, bite-sized balls or patties.

Heat mustard oil in a pan for frying. Once hot, carefully add the sooji bites.

Fry on medium heat until they turn golden brown and crispy on all sides. Remove and drain on paper towels.
